The Sponsorship programme started 35 years ago. The Paulist Missionaries live and share the gospel of Jesus through ministering with poor and marginalised people of all ages in Peru, Cuba, Philippines and in Pakistan. They aim to seek justice and dignity for those denied their rights, providing them educational opportunities, food and health.

With assistance from Miriam Bugeja, who established herself in Pakistan many women were given the opportunity to reconnect with their families and cultural identity, and providing the support needed to restore their dignity and give relieve to suffering. 

When the programme started it was looked after by Bev Tessari and Carmen Grech from St Bernadette’s Parish in North Sunshine. In 2020 both Bev and Carmen stepped down and I am incredibly privileged to be given the opportunity to look after this project.

The Paulist Missionaries sincerely thank you for your generosity over the years and promise to remember you in their daily prayers. The children also would like to thank you for giving them the opportunity to go to school and continue their studies. The families are also very thankful for your assistance.
