Fete Committee
The parish community fete is an eagerly anticipated annual event that brings together everyone from the wider parish community fostering a sense of unity and support within the community. The air is filled with excitement as people explore a wide array of stalls, offering delectable homemade treats, handmade crafts, and unique treasures. The joyful laughter of children fills the atmosphere as they partake in fun games and activities, while live performances add to the festive ambiance.
The parish fete committee is pivotal in ensuring the success of this event. The committee plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of the fete, from planning and organizing to bringing it all together on the day.
The committee members work closely together in preparation organising rides, food, drinks, entertainment, stalls, prizes, permits, marquees, equipment, electricians, cool rooms, ice, entertainment and recruiting volunteers. create a comprehensive event schedule. We work closely with our parish schools and rely on their support and participation. Additionally, the committee manages advertising, sponsorships and promotions to raise awareness and generate excitement about the fete. On fete day we are responsible for coordinating volunteers, allocating tasks, and supporting various stall co-ordinators.
Committee members' dedication and organizational skills are instrumental in bringing the community together, and ensuring that the fete becomes a resounding success, both as a fundraiser and as a cherished community event.
The Fete Committee meets once a month and we always welcome more members.
