The Committee's purposes are to:

• Ensure that the parish is a child safe community
• Promote respect for, and involvement of, children and young people in the life of the parish
• Work toward compliance with Archdiocesan and civic compliance requirements
• Review risks around the Parish properties, activities and groups
• Recommend actions to eliminate, minimise or manage identified risks to child safety
• Raise awareness of child safety with the parish community
