The Committee was established by Fr Tony to respond to Pope Francis’ Encyclical Laudato si’.  It seeks to find ways in which the parish as a whole - and parishioners individually - can do more to care for the environment of our planet Earth. Members meet monthly and are now considering a Seven Year Plan to meet the 7 goals set out by the international Laudato Si Action Platform.

The 7 goals are:

1. Response to the cry of the earth
2. Response to the cry of the poor
3. Ecological economics
4. Adoption of sustainable lifestyles
5. Ecological education
6. Ecological spirituality
7. Community resilience and empowerment
