Welcome to the Parish Advisory Board / Safeguarding

The Parish Advisory Board advises the Parish Priest on parish matters. It meets quarterly. The Parish Advisory Board also operates as the Child Safeguarding Committee, ensuring child safeguarding is treated at the highest level; Child Safeguarding is thus a standing agenda item of the Parish Advisory Board.

The St Mary's Ascot Vale Parish Advisory Board is in place to assist the Parish Priest in sharing responsibility for the life and faith development of the whole Parish community. The Parish Advisory Board (Advisory Board) is made up of those parishioners who, after a process of discernment, are chosen to share responsibility for the life and faith development of Parish community in partnership with the Parish Priest. The Advisory Board gives witness to the equality, dignity, and responsibility of all the baptised to share in the mission of Jesus Christ.

The Advisory Board engages the Parish to participate and contribute to the Church, the Parish community and to provide guidance and support to the Parish Priest in his leadership role. .
