This could also be called Ministry of First Impressions. Church ushers and greeters are the first people many newcomers meet as they enter the Church for Mass. The role is to meet people coming to Mass handing out a newsletter and making them feel welcome. Also helping usher any in to finding seats when it is busy, or helping any elderly or invalids navigate their way to the pews. It is also an opportunity, if you meet any newcomers to give them a Parish welcome pack and make first contact inviting them to return or stay for a cuppa or meet the Priest after Mass.
