THE STORY OF KADASIG AID & DEVELOPMENT Inc. (KAID)
What is KAID?
KAID is a totally voluntary, not-for-profit organisation based in Victoria working to improve the lives of Filipino families and educate children on the island of Cebu, Philippines. KAID is also aligned with an Australian volunteer nurse in Zambales, Philippines & Fr Shay Cullen of PREDA Foundation, an organisation rescuing young people in Olongapo, Philippines.
What does KAID do?
KAID has a range of programs to empower children and their families.
1. Educational sponsorship
2. Child Development training
3. Livelihood and income generating programs
4. Parenting seminars & training
5. Friendship School programs between Australian primary schools and poor schools in Cebu
6. Works and fundraises to support the many KAID programs.
7. Offers social outreach group visits to the Philippines to both adults and students
8. Offers the opportunity for Australians to purchase special giving gifts at Christmas and throughout the year
9. Sends balikbayan boxes of aid to all organisations
How can I assist & make a difference?
Take up an annual educational sponsorship - $280 per year
Take up an annual medical support sponsorship - $260 per year
Take up an annual sponsorship to support running the Cebu Centre/office - $260
Donate a Christmas Hamper/Bundle of Joy for a family to ensure they have food for Christmas Day and New Year's Eve - $40
Send a child to camp at the beach - $40
