As Catholics we believe that the Eucharist is a celebration of Christ’s love for his church; ‘food for life, food for the journey’. It is the memorial of his Last Supper, death and Resurrection where consecrated bread is broken and shared to provide a profound source of union between our God and us. Pope Francis tells us that Holy Communion is “an encounter with Jesus, who is our constant companion in life.”

Children who wish to receive the Sacrament of First Eucharist need to be in Year 4 or above and have made the Sacraments of Baptism and Reconciliation.
