Wedding Information

If you would like Fr Jerald Mariadas to preside, you will need to contact the Parish Office on 9764 4058. The weeks and months ahead can be both exciting and demanding and the parish wishes you all the very best as you prepare for this monumental step in your journey of life.
To assist you as you prepare for your wedding day you will be required to meet with Fr Jerald Mariadas on several occasions for the completion of necessary paperwork and the planning of your wedding mass or service. In 99 percent of cases couples are expected to undertake an appropriate marriage preparation program and this will be discussed at your first meeting.
At this first meeting you will complete the necessary government and church papers and to assist in this, you both need to bring an identification document, copies of your birth, baptism and Confirmation Certificates. If either of you has been baptised at St Simon's simply advise the priest, and the office will research the Register. If one
of you is not a Catholic but has been baptised in another Christian church, we still need to sight your baptism certificate.
At the first meeting Fr Jerald Mariadas will provide you with some leaflets about appropriate marriage preparation courses and after the completion of your course you will then meet on two further occasions concerning your wedding mass or service. Ideally this should be done 6-8 weeks out from your wedding day.

As your marriage approaches, there are many things happening in your life. You are however, preparing for the rest of your life, and we wish you to complete a Marriage Preparation program that prepares, individual before their wedding day.
