Hospitality and Christianity go together. It is never just an add-on. One of the ways traditionally which Our Lady’s Parish has shown hospitality is by the cuppa after Mass. The simple act of making a cup of tea for someone could be the difference between a miserable day and a day marked with an experience of God’s love for the parishioner whom we serve. It may be their only social interaction for the whole day. In this way, we preach the Gospel by what we do rather than by what we say. Ministers of Hospitality responsible for refreshments after Mass serve tea and coffee, clean up afterwards, and set up for the following Mass. Ministers of Hospitality are required to have a Working with Children Check.
