Morning Teas at St Mary's

1 Nov 2026

Sunday 1st November was the first Sunday the new 8.30am Mass was celebrated at St Mary's, alongside the traditional 10.30am Mass. Both Masses were well attended, with a big contingent of Maribyrnong people, led by 99 year old Parishioner Pat Hillas, making the trip across the river early Sunday morning. The Parish is offering transport to St Mary's for any Maribyrnong locals who need it, please contact the Parish Office on 93706688 or email ascotvale@cam.org.au

Morning Tea was available at both Masses thanks to our Community group (see above) with many people lingering after Mass, chatting with friends and saying hello to new comers.

To welcome Parishioners a large photo display was spread across the back wall of the Church, featuring scenes from the last Mass at St Margarets which was held last weekend on Sunday 25th October. As promised, the display is "in house"- not going online or in any publications.

Meanwhile Parishioners have been collecting items from St Margarets to keep as mementos, with certain items essential for saying Mass being retained at St Margarets school and other reserved items including the Altar and the Sacristy Credens (cabinet) finding a new home within St Mary's Church. Many items are finding their way to St Elizabeth Parish Noble Park including the Tabernacle and many pews with Father Simeon Anthony expressing gratitude on behalf of his Parishioners.
