Thank You, Presentation Sisters

On behalf of western port parish, I thank the Presentation Sisters for 36 years of faithful service, especially at St peter’s, Shoreham. Your prayerful presence and dedication have blessed our parish. We are truly grateful for your generous witness to Christ’s love. May God continue to guide you. Fr. Shymon.

A Word from the Presentation Sisters

As the Scripture says, ‘There is a time for every purpose under heaven …… ‘. It is now time for us to say good bye, thank you and to wish the community of Western Port Parish rich blessings as we all make our journey into the future.

Sister Mary Keogh and I are the last of the 13 Sisters who have shared the ministry at Balnarring since 1989. We are grateful for the love and support we have received from the local community. It has been a gift for us to have been part of the Western Port Parish.

In recent years we Presentation Sisters have worked to ensure that the ministry commenced in 1989 at Balnarring will continue into the future.

Under the governance of Kildare Ministries, the Board of Saltbush Presentation Family Centre is committed to both the care and nurturance of individuals, families and groups who come for a time of rest, relaxation and renewal of their spirits in the houses and our commitment to care for our Mother Earth through the regeneration of the 17 hectares of land.

Mary and I are moving to a Presentation house in Caulfield, sad that the time has come to leave this beautiful part of the world and the people who have made it so special for us but grateful for the blessings our time here has been.

As we celebrate the 10^th anniversary of Laudato Si and rejoice in the gift that Pope Leo XIV is for our Church and our vulnerable world, we pray for God’s blessing on each and every member of Western Port faith community.
