Sacramental Program

Catechetics at St Simon’s

Our parish is blessed to journey with families as children prepare to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation. Each of these Sacraments is a special encounter with God’s grace, deepening our children’s faith and drawing them closer to Jesus Christ and His Church.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation (also called Penance or Confession) is a sign and experience of God’s unconditional forgiveness. In this sacrament, we express sorrow for our sins, receive God’s mercy, and are reconciled with Him and with the Church.

📌 For Children: Offered from Grade 3 and above.

Sacrament of the Eucharist

The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Christian life. As we receive the Body and Blood of Christ, we are nourished spiritually and strengthened to grow in His likeness.

📌 For Children: Offered from Grade 4 and above.

Requirement: The child must be baptised and have already celebrated their First Reconciliation.

Sacrament of Confirmation

Confirmation perfects Baptism and fills us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, just as the Apostles received at Pentecost. It is a sacrament of empowerment, giving us the courage to follow Jesus and share in His mission through the Church.

📌 For Children: Offered from Grade 5 and above.

Requirements: Baptism, First Reconciliation, and First Eucharist must be completed.

📅 Preparation classes: From 2023, classes are held once every two years.
