Our Lady’s Memorial Garden is a garden which has been established by the Parish to commemorate deceased members of Our Lady’s who spent time to build up Our Lady’s Parish and/or come to worship in our Church.

Our Lady’s Memorial Wall carries niches to accommodate cremated remains of the deceased people who belonged to Our Lady’s Parish Community.

There is also an area where a simple plaque can be placed on the wall to remember those who have died and are interred elsewhere.

Our Lady’s Memorial Garden is located outside of the Church body along Wilana Street.

Whose Remains Will Be Accepted for Interment in the Memorial Garden?

Generally, those who have been parishioners of Our Lady’s Parish will be considered for interment. They may be current parishioners or former parishioners. If a person has never been a parishioner, but is the spouse or other close relative of a parishioner, the interment of their remains would certainly be considered. This would also apply to non-Catholic relatives. Ultimately, the decision is at the discretion of the Parish Priest.
