Catechist Program
Our Parish Catechist Program offers Religious Instructions Classes to children who do not attend Catholic Schools. The classes teach the children about our Faith and help them prepare for the Sacraments. Our sessions are facilitated by Ann Robinson (Catechistic Co-Ordinator).
Age of enrolment
To make their First Reconciliation, children must be at least in grade 3: First Eucharist at least grade four and Confirmation at least grade six. Occasionally we have secondary school students who have not completed all of their Sacraments.
Class Timing and Venue
Classes are held once a week via Zoom on a Tuesday. Sessions run in conjunction with the school terms, excluding school holidays and public holidays.
The Sacrament Preparation Program will commence on Tuesday 10 February 2026, with the Reconciliation Program beginning at 4:00pm, followed by the Confirmation Program for 2026 candidates at 4:30pm.
The Communion Program will commence in Term 2 on Tuesday 22 April 2026, and the Confirmation Program for 2027 candidates will commence in Term 3 on Tuesday 14 July 2026.
Enrolment Details
The cost of the program is $200, per student, per Sacrament. This cost covers stationery, Student Booklets, Sacramental Stoles and Sacramental Pins. Payment of the program is required by the 3rd week of the program starting.
