We offer a Sacramental program for children from Year 3-6. 

Students are prepared for Reconciliation in the first year of attendance.

Recommended age: year 3 at school

The Sacrament of the Eucharist is celebrated in the second year of the program.

Recommended age: year 4 at school

Confirmation is celebrated in the third year of the program.

Recommended age: year 5 or 6 at school. 

Classes are run Thursday afternoons during school terms from 4.00 - 5.00pm

at St John's Parish Office 494 Whitehorse Rd, Mitcham.

Baptisms are usually celebrated on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month at 12.30pm.

Preparation is required for those who are presenting their first child for baptism.

Presentation and anointing for Baptism takes place on the first Sunday of the month prior to Baptism at 11.15am Mass.

Becoming A Catholic (RCIA)

RCIA i.e. the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, is a process whereby people who are interested in finding out more about our Catholic faith,

with a view to becoming a Catholic, gather to have their questions answered. 

We usually meet on a weekday evening at 7.30pm during school terms.
