Parish Boundary Changes Announced for Caroline Springs, Melton and Melton South

THE ARCHDIOCESE of Melbourne has published the decree announcing the changes to the parish boundaries of St Catherine of Siena (Caroline Springs), St Dominic’s (Melton), and St Anthony of Padua (Melton South) to better support the pastoral care in these growing communities.
Under the new arrangements, specific residential areas at the edges of the three parishes have been realigned so that parish boundaries more closely reflect current population patterns and parish life.
According to the decree, "the territory of St Dominic's Parish south of Melton Highway and east of Leakes Road in a straight line to Greigs Road be incorporated into St Catherine of Siena Parish, Caroline Springs." Furthermore, "the territory of St Anthony of Padua Parish east of Downing Street and north of Boundary Road be incorporated into St Catherine of Siena Parish, Caroline Springs."
No parish is being closed; rather, the changes clarify which parish is responsible for pastoral care in particular neighbourhoods.
These adjustments will help ensure clearer parish identity, easier access to sacramental records, and more effective ministry for parishioners. Updated boundary maps and further details are available through parish offices.
