On Sunday 26th October some of the parishioners of Mansfield Catholic Parish together with parish priest Fr George Feliciouz journeyed on their Jubilee Pilgrimage to the Wahgunyah Mass Tree and offered Mass there at 12.15pm which was followed by a BYO Lunch.

This Tree is in the Rutherglen parish and is one of the places of Pilgrimage in the Diocese of Sandhurst. We prayed that parishioners and all the people of Mansfield receive every grace and blessing of the pilgrimage.

We remembered the early pioneers, their faith and way of life. We celebrated Mass under a tarp tent, under the tree, somewhat close to the manner in which the first Mass was celebrated here about 1869 in the tent of Mrs M M Burrows by Very Rev Dean Tierney the Parish Priest of Beechworth.
