MARRIAGE:
Contact the Parish Office and make an appointment to meet the Parish Priest
PLEASE NOTE: Three months’ notice is required before a wedding. The Marriage cannot be solemnized until after one calendar month from the date the authorized celebrant receives notice.
Government Documents Required for Marriage:
Full Birth Certificate (Not an Extract) for Evidence of Date and Place of Birth of each party.
If a party has previously been legally married evidence of party's divorce* or of the death of the party's spouse.
Passport - Australian or Foreign (If not Australian Citizen).
Current Driver's License for Additional/ Photographic Evidence.
Notice of Intended Marriage. (To be filled and witnessed by the Celebrant, signed by the parties)
Church Documents Required for Marriage:
Baptism Certificate (Recent).
* If a party has been married previously (including civil marriage) evidence of Canonical Decree of Nullity or Dissolution of previous marriage.
Freedom or Permission to Marry from Parish Priest if party is not Domiciled in the Mansfield Parish
Pre - Nuptial Inquiry Form. (To be filled and witnessed by the Celebrant, signed by the parties)
Celebration of Marriage could be within the Nuptial Mass or without the Mass (Only the Nuptials). Two Witness are required 18 yrs or above.

Wedding Fees for the Mansfield Catholic Parish
Church Hire:
$100 (non refundable) to be paid within one month of booking.
$500 to be two weeks before the wedding.
Celebrant Priest Fees:
$350
(NB: If you are arranging for your own Celebrant Priest then you negotiate the fee with him)
