SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMS
FOR CHILDREN

As part of our commitment to nurturing their spiritual growth, we invite you and your child to take part in the preparation for these important Sacraments. Please read through carefully below that is an outline of the upcoming programs:
THE SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION (FIRST RECONCILIATION)
First Reconciliation is an important step in preparing your child to fully participate in the life of the Church. The program includes lessons on the meaning of sin, God’s forgiveness, and the importance of the Sacrament in a child’s spiritual life.
· Minimum Year Three level and 8 years old or over
· 8 Fridays, from 9 May, 4 – 5 pm
· Parents Information Meeting: Sunday 27 April, after 10.30 am Mass
· Reconciliation: Friday, 4 July at 4.30 pm at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church
THE SACRAMENT OF EUCHARIST (FIRST HOLY COMMUNION)
This program prepares children to receive the Body of Christ in the Eucharist for the first time. Along with the basic teachings of the Eucharist, children will learn about the significance of the Mass, how to approach the altar, and the grace that flows from the Sacrament.
· Children who have already received First Reconciliation
· 8 Fridays, from 10 October, 4 – 5 pm
· Parents Information Meeting: Saturday 4 October, after 6.30 pm Mass
· First Communion: Sunday 7 December at 10.30 am Mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church
THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION
In the Confirmation program, young people will deepen their understanding of their faith and develop a stronger relationship with the Holy Spirit. This Sacrament strengthens their ability to live as true witnesses of Christ in the world.
· Minimum Year Six level and 11 years old or over who have already received First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion
· 6 Fridays from 25 July, 4 – 5 pm
· Parents Information Meeting: Saturday 19 July, after 6.30 pm Mass
· Confirmation: Saturday 6 September at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church
Information Meeting and Important dates
Please check the Parents Information Meeting and Important dates for the Sacramental programs above. We encourage you to attend the Parents Information Meeting, as it will provide further details about the preparation process and the spiritual significance of the Sacraments. Our goal is to make this experience enriching for both children and their families. Throughout the program, we will offer opportunities for parents and children to engage with the Church community in meaningful ways.

Please complete the attached registration form and return it to the Parish office via email or bring it to the Parents Information Meeting.
