The following resources are provided to assist you in planning a Catholic funeral in consultation with our parish priest.

Readings

Hymns

All music must reflect the sacred nature of the liturgy and be approved by the Parish Priest (or by a visiting priest).

Only sacred hymns or classical instrumental pieces are permitted within the church; secular music is not appropriate for the funeral liturgy.

The family must advise whether they plan to use live or recorded music.

Eulogy (Word of Remembrance) and Photo Presentation

The Eulogy and Photo Presentation are optional, as these may also take place during the wake.

Eulogy should be respectful, concise, and reflective of the Christian hope in eternal life.

Photo Presentation may be included after Eulogy - prior to Requiem Mass or Prayer Service, with a total duration of no more than 5-6 minutes.

Costs

Church using fee - $200

Requiem Mass/Service - $300

Burial - $150
