Baptism of Infants
The Baptism of your child should take place in your own local parish church, or the church where you regularly go to Mass. In this way you are connected to your local Catholic Community and it celebrates the fact that your child, through Baptism, becomes a brother or sister to the local Catholic Parish Family.

Sacramental Program for Children
Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation
PLEASE NOTE: The Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion are only offered in even years and the Sacrament of Confirmation will only be offered in odd years
For children attending one of our Parish Schools their preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation will be arranged through their schools.
For children not attending one of our Parish Schools we offer an out of school Sacramental Program.

Thursday 14 March 2026 at 6.00pm @ Mary Immaculate Church.
1st Holy Communion (offered this year for children not in one of our schools)
Saturday 13 June 2026 at 5.30pm @ Mary Immculate Church
Confirmation (not offered)
RCIA (The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
This Rite introduces older children and adults wishing to join the Catholic Church to the community and prepares them to receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation & Communion). For further information contact the Parish Office – see details at bottom of this page
Communion at Home & Anointing of the Sick
A team of home communion ministers assist in taking Holy Communion to the sick and housebound. If you are seriously ill, or preparing for a visit to hospital, then you should receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. This is ideally celebrated at home or at church prior to admission to hospital. Contact the Parish Office – see details at bottom of this page.
Anointing Masses are held four times a year at 12 noon at Mary Immaculate Church.
A lunch follows the Mass. Transport can be arranged for those unable to make their own way to the Mass.
Marriage
This Sacrament requires an appointment with the Parish Priest and needs at least 3 months notice. Marriage preparation courses are provided by CatholicCare Family Services and details will be provided when you first enquire. Contact the Parish Office – see details at bottom of this page.

Funerals
The Funeral Director will make contact with the Parish to arrange the time and details of the Funeral Mass.
The Parish also provides support for families at the time of bereavement and assists with the preparation of the Funeral Mass including the selection of readings from scripture and music.
