Sacramental Programs for Children from Other Schools
The Sacraments are a key part of Church life and are celebrated within a Parish Church community. Celebrating a sacrament for the first time is an important step in the life of a child as a Catholic.

- St James the Apostle Primary School (Hoppers Crossing North),
- St Francis of Assisi Primary School (Tarneit)

Our Sacramental Preparation Programme places a strong emphasis on family involvement as we recognise that parents and guardians are the main educators in faith of their children. Therefore, three sessions are hosted for parents/caregivers to also prepare them for each of the sacraments. This programme also gives parents and guardians the opportunity to deepen their own understanding of their faith, whilst participating more fully in the faith development of their children. This introduction to the Church’s sacramental life is an important step in a child’s journey in faith as part of a community of believers.
Parents have the right and responsibility to be directly involved in the preparation of their child to celebrate the sacraments. The parish and school communities affirm and support parents and guardians in this role.
