Letter from the Parish Priest to all parishioners of Fitzroy North Parish

29 June 2025 – Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles

Dear Friends,

I am deeply grateful to all of your continued loving support and generous contribution for the successful completion of the major works at St Brigid’s Church including: reparation of floorings and joists; installation of the new carpet; restoration of the original marble floor and tiles on the sanctuary; installation of some beam lights; and subfloor ventilation system.

I would like to express my gratitude as well to Melissa de Conno from the Archdiocese Property Office for her kind assistance on the projects and to the PLM Building Group for the work well done. The new carpet project started in April 2024 was completed on 20^th June 2025. It was blessed on Sunday, 22^nd June 2025. Please see below some of the photos of the Church, before and after the renovation.

Let us keep the Church, especially the new carpet, clean all the time so it can last for a long time. Above all, let us make our Parish Church more vibrant by actively participating in all its sacramental activities and outreach programs. Let us work together to make our Parish Church a safe and welcoming place of encounter with God and with one another. In this way we are living our Parish Vision and Mission: to bear witness to a missionary discipleship by remembering our history, honouring diversity, practising hospitality, and celebrating communion.
