PARISH'S FEAST DINNER DANCE - LETTER & PROGAMS
19 Sept 2023ST DAMIAN’S PARISH 57TH YEAR FEAST DINNER DANCE
Dear Parishioners, Visitors, & Friends,
I’d like to wish you and your loved ones a very blessed and happy St Damian’s Parish Feast Day, and to all those who journey with us in this special day too.
As we celebrate St Damian’s Feast Day this weekend provides us with a wonderful opportunity to look back and give thanks for the vision and loving service of our parish community. It is also a time for us to pause and give thanks, for the struggles and joys of the past and to look forward with hope. At St Damian’s Parish community, with the grace of God and through the generosity & support of our parishioners and visitors, and all those who are invited to be sustained on the journey. Together, as a vibrant community, we step forward and risk the journey of faith as authentic missionaries.
Our lives are full of graced moments. Whether you are a parishioner, a visitor, or simply looking for a spiritual home, as the Parish Priest, I am confident that you will find the parish to be an inspirational place where you can enrich your Christian life and explore and grow in good catholic faith. The faith of our Parish community today is sustained through the experience of many humble and faith-filled witnesses who, through their generosities with the financial supports, shine a light in many different ministries as they help us feel the warmth of Christ Jesus. The Sacraments we celebrate at St Damian’s Parish and these ministries which we offer are signs of a gracious God who never stops revealing Himself among us.
I pray that may St Damian who is our patron saint intercede for us & loved ones and aid us to follow his fabulous faithful example, who called to serve one another without charge. Like St. Damian, our Patron Saint, each and every one of us is called to do the same. May God bless us on this Feast Day as we continue to build bridges that unite us all in Christ. May we reach out to serve one another with the same mission in our daily life.
Finally, I look forward to welcoming you all for our Eucharistic celebrations this weekend and following with St Damian’s Parish Dinner Dance Party at Loyola Companions Hall: 325 Grimshaw Street, Watsonia, VIC, 3087. Let us celebrate & enjoy time together. Thanks you!
St Damian, pray for us!
