BAPTISM CEREMONY INFORMATION
1. BAPTISMAL CANDLE: You will need to provide a candle for use in the ceremony. A white colour candle is preferred. It can be decorated as much, or as little, as you like. The godfather looks after the candle, on behalf of your child, during the ceremony. He lights it, at the appropriate time. It is then taken home to be part of your ‘family history’.
2. BAPTISMAL STOLE and CERTIFICATE: Our parish will present you with the stole on the day of the baptism, that will be yours to keep. The godmother looks after the stole, on behalf of your child, during the ceremony. She places it, on your child, at the appropriate time. The certificate will be presented to you after the ceremony.
3. PHOTOGRAPHS & VIDEOS: There will be plenty of opportunities for photographs throughout the baptism ceremony. Please keep in mind that it is a time of prayer! Our prayer together should not be disturbed by a photographer.
