2026 Sacramental Program for Children
The Sacramental Program has concluded for the year. Please contact the Parish Office if you would like to be informed of class details for 2027.
Our parish offers sacramental catechesis programs for Catholic children who do not attend a Catholic school. We offer three programs annually, corresponding to the three sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation with clergy or trained Catechists presenting the classes. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend these classes with their children.
The sacramental program offered at St Francis Xavier & St Clare Parish for 2026:
Term 2: The Sacrament of Confirmation (Ages 12 and older)
Term 2: The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Ages 8 and older)
Term 3: The Sacrament of First Holy Communion (Ages 9 and older)
Applying for our Sacramental Programs
The fillable PDF application form for each sacramental program is in the relevant section below.
Before completing the form, please save to your computer. Once saved, complete it and save it again.
Application forms with relevant sacramental certificates should be emailed to the Parish Office (boxhill@cam.org.au) before commencement of the program.
Cost:
The cost for each sacramental program is $100 per child which enables us to provide catechists and resources. This is payable via the "Donate" page on the website.
Location:
Classes will be held on Wednesday afternoons from 4.00pm-5.00pm in the Narthex at St Clare Church, Box Hill North.
Term 2, 2026 | The Sacrament of Confirmation (Grade 6/Ages 12 and older)

The first class (22 April) will be an interactive parent/child workshop.
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be received on Sunday 31 May 2026 at 2.00pm in St Francis Xavier Church.

Term 2, 2026 | The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Ages 8 and older)

The first class (3 June) will be an interactive parent/child workshop.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be received on Wednesday 22 July 2026 at 7.00pm in St Clare Church.

The first class (29 July) will be an interactive parent/child workshop.
The Sacrament of First Holy Communion will be received on Sunday 13 September 2026 at 10.15am in St Francis Xavier Church.
