FIRST RECONCILIATION PROGRAM

We welcome and are delighted to be with parents in this stage of your child’s faith journey. To assist parents, we have developed a program that will give insight into the challenge and privilege of being part of the worshipping church, particularly through receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Your child must be baptised and in Year 3 or above.

It is the expectation of the Parish and your commitment in the faith development of your child, that families attend Sunday Mass. The program is structured so that sacrament candidates are present at Mass each week. 

This program is conducted during first term of the school year, and sessions are held on Sunday mornings from 8.45am – 10:00am. 8.45am-9.30am is group learning at the Parish Community Centre with our Sacrament Team Leaders. Candidates then join the latter part of Mass, sitting with their family to witness the Eucharist ceremony. 

Course Fee: $100.00 per enrolment

FIRST EUCHARIST PROGRAM

We welcome you and your child to the preparation to receive the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time. Please note that your child must be baptised, completed the Sacrament of Reconciliation and in year 4 or above before they can proceed to First Eucharist.

It is the expectation of the Parish and your commitment in the faith development of your child, that families attend Sunday Mass. The program is structured that sacrament candidates are present at Mass each week. 

This program is conducted during second term of the school year, and sessions are held on Sunday mornings from 8.45am – 10:00am. 8.45am-9.30am is group learning in the Parish Community Centre with our Sacramental Team Leaders. Candidates then join the latter part of Mass, sitting with their family to witness the Eucharist ceremony.

Course Fee: $100.00 per enrolment

SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION PROGRAM

We welcome you and your child to the preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Please note that your child must be baptised, completed the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist and in year 6 or above before they can proceed to Confirmation.

It is the expectation of the Parish and your commitment in the faith development of your children, that families attend Sunday Mass. The program is structured so that the Candidates are present at Mass each week. 

This program usually begins midway through 3rd term, and the Candidates are Confirmed early in 4th term.

The sessions are held on Sunday mornings from 8.45am – 10:00am. 8.45am- 9.30am is group learning in the Parish Community Centre with our Sacramental Team Leaders. Candidates then join the latter part of Mass, sitting with their family to witness the Eucharist ceremony. 

Attendance at all sessions is compulsory for candidates and a parent/guardian must be present at Mass for candidates to sit with. A section of the church seating will be reserved for candidate families. This will assist with minimising disruption to the service when candidates join the Mass.
